When Are Med School Interview Invites Being Sent Out? – The Medic... (2024)

Here's a list of when we expect each Med School to send their interview invites. Discover who has and hasn't started sending out invites already - we'll be updating the list regularly!

If you’re applying for 2024 entry Medicine, you might start getting your Medicine interview invites soon – if you haven’t already!Here’s a guide to when Med Schools are likely to send out their interview invites, plus whether they’re doing MMIs or panel interviews, so you can effectively plan your interview prep.

Planned Interview Schedules For UK Medical Schools

Below we list when each university is running their Medicine interviews for 2024 entry. For those where information is known, we also mention when that university will be sending out their invites to interview for this season.

  • Aberdeen University – They’re holding MMIs starting on the 18th of December.
  • Anglia Ruskin University – MMIs are usually in December and January.
  • Aston University – Expect MMIs between December and March, held online via MicroSoft Teams.
  • Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry – Online interviews planned for January and February.
  • Birmingham University – Invitations will be sent between December and January. Interviews will take place in January and February.
  • Brighton and Sussex Medical School – They’re holding MMIs between January and February. International students should expect their MMIs in late February to beginning of March.
  • Bristol University – MMIs are held between December and February.
  • Brunel University – You should expect your interview in December (week beginning 4th), February (week beginning 5th), March (week beginning 11th) or May (week beginning 13th).
  • University of Buckingham – This Medical School accepts applications directly, and candidates will be invited to MMIs In February.
  • Cardiff University – Expect MMIs between January and February. If you’re an international student, yours will likely be held in February.
  • University of Central Lancashire – Interviews with home students are planned for April, while international students will be invited throughout the year upon availability.
  • Dundee University – They’re doing MMIs between December and February.
  • Edge Hill – Expect MMIs between February and March.
  • Edinburgh University – There will be a mix of virtual and in-person interviews (for Scottish students). Virtual interviews will be held between December 11th–18th while in-person interviews will take place in January, the week of the 8th and the week of the 15th.
  • Exeter University – MMIs happen between December and March, while decisions will arrive by the end of March.
  • Glasgow University – The first batch of interview invitations will be sent out by November 13th for interviews commencing the week of November 20th. MMIs are expected to run through to March as usual.
  • Hull York Medical School – For international students, interviews start online in December while for home students, they run over two weeks in January in person.
  • Imperial College London – The format is an online asynchronous interview in January followed by a live interview in February.
  • Keele University – MMIs take place between December and March.
  • Kent and Medway Medical School – They’re holding MMIs from January; invitations are sent out in late November and December.
  • King’s College London – You’ll face an online MMI at some point between November and May.

INTERVIEW COURSEMMI CIRCUITS

  • Lancaster University – MMIs are held in January and February.
  • Leicester University – Interview invitations are sent out by email in late November. MMIs will take place between 11th–15th December, 8th–12th January, and 12th–16th February.
  • Leeds University – MMIs happen between January and February.
  • Liverpool University – Expect MMIs from January to February.
  • Manchester University – You’ll face MMIs between December and February.
  • Newcastle University – Invitations will be sent by the end of November. Their MMIs are planned for 4th–15th December and 8th–19th January.
  • Norwich Medical School, UEA – They’re holding MMIs between November and March (in-person for home students and remote for international).
  • Nottingham University – Their online MMIs happen between December and March.
  • Plymouth University – You will face an online MMI between January and February via Zoom.
  • Queen’s University Belfast – They’re doing online MMIs between December and March.
  • University of St Andrews – MMIs take place between November and March.
  • St George’s, University of London – Their MMIs happen between November and December.
  • Sheffield University – You’ll face an MMI between December and mid-January.
  • Sunderland University – Expect MMIs in December and January.
  • Cambridge University and Oxford University – For both of these Medical Schools, you should expect to face a traditional panel interview in December.
  • UCL – Expect MMIs between December and March. There will be a week’s notice for the interview – students must confirm attendance within 5 days.
  • University of Worchester – They’re planning to hold interviews in the week commencing 4th March.
  • University of Chester – Students should expect their interviews in December.
  • Ulster University – MMIs will take place in the week beginning 15th January.
  • Swansea – Online panel interviews happen between February and March.
  • Warwick University – They hold online MMIs between 18th and 21st December.
  • University of Southampton – Interviews will be held in person at the Southampton campus between January and March. They aim to provide the Home/UK applicants with 2–3 weeks notice and international applicants with 5–6 weeks notice.
